The reviews are written for restaurants that we deem as being Zabihah Halal with meat slaughtered in the appropriate manner. However, we base these findings on websites such as http://www.zabihah.com/ (no affiliation)
We hope to one day be able to confirm the authenticity of Zabihah Halal meat as required by law in NJ (Halal Food Consumer Act) from the meat slaughtering and processing plants directly.
Please remember that you have the right to ask any restaurant to show written proof that they serve Zabiha Halal Meat as per the Halal Food Consumer Act of NJ. (these restaurants do not necessarily have to be in NJ as this act spans many states)
NON-HALAL VEGETARIAN AND SEAFOOD REVIEWS
The reviews written for non-Halal restaurants do not take into account that many of these restaurants may use alcohol or other products in preparation/processing of foods or may cook all types of meats along side vegetarian and seafood dishes. Please be aware of this when eating at these restaurants, and be your own judge as everyone has their own level of tolerance when it comes to food.
