Our ratings consist of two parts: The First part entails giving “crescents” based on the overall experience we feel you will have at the restaurant. The Second part entails formatting 6 different qualifiers to help fine tune the ratings even further.
The Crescents
FIVE CRESCENTS: (Extraordinary) Transcendent. A one-of-a-kind, world-class experience.
FOUR CRESCENTS: (Excellent) Superior. Memorable, high-quality menus frequently accompanied by exciting environs and/or savvy service.
THREE CRESCENTS: (Great) Few items are exceptional enough to come back and eat. But it lacks other elements needed for an excellent restaurant.
TWO CRESCENTS: (Good) Solid places that beckon with generally appealing cooking.
ONE CRESCENT: (Fair) Just OK. A place not worth rushing back to. But, it might have something worth recommending: A view, a single dish, friendly service, lively scene.
NOTHING: (Poor) Below-average restaurants.

Non-Bold + Red = Bad
Non-Bold = Average, Nothing special
Bold = Good
Bold + Blue = Excellent
